Concept
陶芸で昆虫や甲殻類など、外骨格を持つ生き物をモチーフに作品を制作しています。陶芸でここまでできるのかと思えるような造形の繊細さやリアリティ、釉薬が見せる色彩や質感の面白さなどを最大限に引き出し、見る者を驚かせ感動を与える作品を制作することを目指しています。
また、高校時代に都立工芸高校で金属工芸を学んでいた知識や技術を活かし、金属と陶器を組み合わせた新たな技法の開拓にも積極的に取り組んでいます。
I create ceramic works with the motif of creatures with exoskeletons, such as insects and crustaceans. I aim to create works that amaze and inspire viewers by bringing out the delicacy and realism of the shapes, and the interesting colors and textures of the glazes, to the fullest, making them wonder if this is even possible with ceramics. Additionally, he is actively working to develop new techniques that combine metal and ceramics, making use of the knowledge and skills he gained from studying metal craft at Tokyo Metropolitan Technical High School during his high school years.
